The Western Wall

A couple of weeks back reports suggested that the plans for an official egalitarian praying space at the Western Wall had been put on hold.

This week we learn that the Israeli government has told the nation’s Supreme Court that it plans to expand and upgrade a space for non-Orthodox prayer at the southern section of the Western Wall near Robinson’s Arch.

The subject has caused much division in the community, including amongst several religious leaders here in the UK. Rabbi Andrew Shaw from Mizrachi UK and Rabbi Aaron Goldstein from Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue gave us their reactions. You can listen again to the interview by clicking here.
