Sean Spicer has apologised for making a reference to the Holocaust in comments about Syrian President Bashar Assad’s use of chemical weapons.

Whilst addressing the Syrian crisis, the White House Press Secretary said “we didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II” adding “someone as despicable as Hitler didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons”.

Mr Spicer’s comments have sparked mixed reactions and has even lead to calls for his dismissal. On the show, we spoke to American Political Commentator Carol Gould to get her take on this.
